Megan Fox certainly has a way with words. From her since-deleted (truly RIP) Instagram captions about Machine Gun Kelly and his “cosmic lawless eternal creative genius” to her recent book of poetry Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, the bicon’s pen has been on fire since she and the aforementioned pop punk rapper first became entangled in 2020.

The actor once again dropped some sage wisdom in a recent interview with E! News. During Revolve Festival, a celebrity-packed party that takes place during Coachella weekend, the network took a moment to ask Fox about her advice for single women.

“Just learn a skill or develop a hobby, and do not waste your energy on boys,” Fox said. “All they’re going to do is drain you. Just move on. Invest in yourself.” And to that, we can only say: exactly.

Mystifyingly, Machine Gun Kelly added a since-deleted comment to Fox’s repost of the video: “PREACH,” rendered in an all caps. (The Instagram account commentsbycelebs and several other users spotted the comment before it was taken down.)

While the couple are still together as far as we know, they appear to be keeping the details of their relationship a little more private these days. During an appearance on the Call Me Daddy podcast last month, Fox talked about pulling back from being so public about her life with the rapper.

“What I’ve learned about being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption,” she said to host Alexandra Cooper, per InTouch. “So I think as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se. What I can say is that [he] is what I refer to as being my twin soul, and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what. I cannot say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I’m not willing to explain.”

Like we said, she’s certainly got a way with words.
