Meet TV's most adorable baby lion (exclusive)

Disney’s highly anticipated remake of The Lion King isn’t premiering in theaters until July 19. But you can see the circle of life play out from the comfort of your living room courtesy of BBC America’s new nature series, Dynasties, premiering Saturday at 9 p.m. across all AMC Networks. Presented by world-renowned producer and naturalist, David Attenborough, the five-episode series follows different animal families as they contend with the beauties and dangers of the natural world. For example, the series premiere follows a pride of lions, including the little fuzzball that stars in this exclusive clip that Yahoo Entertainment is premiering today. (Watch the clip above.)

This adorable lion cub is the offspring of the Masai Mara Marsh Pride in Kenya, who serve as the central dynasty in the first episode of Dynasties. Headed up by ferocious lioness Charm, the Marsh Pride confronts such predators as hyenas and buffalos, as well as aggressive male lions. But those perils are thankfully far from the cub’s mind; its main antagonists are the flies that refuse to let the thirsty tyke get a drink of water in peace. To borrow a lyric from Elton John, can you feel the cuteness tonight?

Dynasties premieres on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 9 p.m. on BBC America, AMC, IFC and SundanceTV.
