Meet Erin and Sara Foster, Hollywood's funniest new 'It' sisters

Beautiful, blonde…hilarious?

It’s not the most usual combination used when describing Hollywood “it girls”, but sisters Sara and Erin Foster, the duo behind the legitimately funny mockumentary TV show Barely Famous, are turning out to be way more than pretty faces.

While they call their new comedy series mash up an “anti-reality series,” it’s still dressed up as a reality show, and in it, they girls do play versions of themselves, all while making fun of Hollywood and using their real life famous friends (Nicole Richie, Kate Hudson), as guest stars. But they’re all totally in on the joke. Meta.

1. Their dad is music mega-producer David Foster.

Not to be confused with author David Foster Wallace, David Foster is a hugely popular music producer who has penned hits for everyone from Celine Dion to Whitney Houston. (The Bodyguard’s “I Have Nothing”!) He’s currently the chairman of Verve Music Group and has won 16 Grammys. Despite growing up with a famous and wealthy dad, Sara and Erin maintain that he always made them work hard, which saved them from becoming Hollywood brats. Still, they have plenty of anecdotes about being around celebs their whole lives. “Madonna once dissed us,” they recently told People magazine. Their mother is former model, Rebecca Dyer.

2. Their step-sisters are those other current Hollywood “it” sisters, models Gigi and Bella Hadid.

Sort of. In 2011, their dad David Foster married Yolanda Foster (from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) who is model Gigi and Bella Hadid’s mother.

3. Their step-brothers are those current Hollywood “it” brothers, Brody and Brandon Jenner

Sort of. From 1991 to 2005, dad David Foster was married to songwriter Linda Thompson, who had previously been married to Bruce Jenner and is the mother of Brody and Brandon Jenner. Fun fact: Linda Thompson also had a four-year relationship with Elvis Presley from 1972-1976, and her older brother Sam was Elvis Presley’s personal bodyguard from 1976, until his death in 1977.

4. They’ve dabbled in acting.

Would you be a legit Hollywood scion you hadn’t at least tried it? Sara, 33, who truly is an actress, spent three years playing Jen Clark on the Beverly Hills 90210 reboot, and Erin once had a regular part on the O.C., though she’s now a writer.

5. Their inner circle of friends makes yours look weak

Any given day, their Instagram account might show them kicking back with Gwen Stefani, Demi Moore, Kate Hudson, Courteney Cox, Jen Meyer..you get the gist. They are Hollywood kids, after all.
