The Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced on Tuesday morning that Austin Butler and Jodie Comer will wave the green flag at the starting line for the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500.

Who is Austin Butler?

Austin Butler is an American actor most well-known for starring as Elvis Presley in the movie "Elvis" (2022), for which he won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA. He has also had roles in "Dune: Part Two" (2024) and "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood" (2019).

Jodie Comer is an Emmy award-winning British actor who is most well-known for her role in the TV show "Killing Eve" starring opposite Sandra Oh; and for roles in "Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker" (2019) and "The Last Duel" (2021).

When does 'The Bikeriders' come out?

Butler and Comer are promoting their upcoming film, "The Bikeriders" which also stars Tom Hardy. The movie will be released in June.

Who waved the green flag at the 2023 Indy 500?

Last year, for the 107th running of the Indianapolis 500, actor Adam Driver waved the green flag. He grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana.
