Meek Mill is known for masterful freestyling as if his performance will determine whether or not he can afford to pay his rent. The Philadelphia rapper dropped more hard-hitting bars on Hot 97 this week over a classic The Notorious B.I.G. beat.

The 36-year-old lyricist joined Funk Flex this past Monday (Nov. 13) for his first appearance on the legendary DJ’s show since 2018. DJ Sam Sneak dropped Biggie’s “Warning” beat and Meek took the song’s title literally.

“They gon’ put a tracker on your Hawk and try to keep it on you/ Gotta play your part and they start scheming on you,” he spit. “Knock ’em out the park right when they start speaking on you/ Ni**as rocking ice and trying to slide without them heaters on you/ That’s how you get caught lacking.” Check out the full freestyle below.

Meek Mill also rapped over a more recent beat, the 2016 dance anthem “Juju On That Beat.” Despite the shift in production, he kept his passion fully intact. “When she ate my nut she started smiling like it’s Colgate/ Only in God we trust, can’t trust these h*es these h*es gon’ rotate,” he rapped. “I was on demon time, lil shawty a demon she was like okay.”

Rick Ross was present for the freestyle, as he and Meek have been busy pushing their new joint album Too Good To Be True. The 17-track LP featured Future, French Montana, Wale, The-Dream, Teyana Taylor, Jeremih, and more.

The duo kicked off the album rollout with the singles “Shaq & Kobe” and “Lyrical Eazy.” They surprised fans with a remix to the former track featuring Damian Lillard and Shaquille O’Neal, who infamously engaged in a rap battle in 2019. Listen to Too Good To Be True below.
