The “It” girls of North Shore High School are back — except this time, they are suburban parents pitching Walmart deals. And no, “fetch” is still not a thing.

The retail giant has recruited much of the original cast of the 2004 comedy classic Mean Girls — including stars Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert, Daniel Franzese and Rajiv Surendra — to star in a Black Friday marketing campaign.

The ad spot (below) debuted Wednesday, imagining what they are up to today at North Shore High School.

Cady Heron (Lohan) is the school guidance counselor, Karen Smith (Seyfried) is a weather reporter and Gretchen Wieners (Chabert) is a mom of one of the new popular girls in the school.

“This is going to be so fetch,” Chabert says while filming her daughter and her friends for some sort of TikTok video. “Stop trying to make fetch happen mom, it’s still not gonna happen,” her daughter replies.

“Some things never change. On Wednesdays we still wear pink, but now we shop Walmart Black Friday deals,” Lohan says in a voiceover during the spot, which also references a number of scenes from the original film.

Walmart will be releasing a new commercial featuring the cast every Wednesday leading up to Black Friday and on Cyber Monday, Nov. 27.

Rumors of a Mean Girls reunion swirled last month after photos of the cast on set spread across the internet. At the time, there was speculation that it would be for a Super Bowl ad. It turns out it’s for another TV holiday, with the spot also calling out specific Walmart deals on portable speakers and big-screen TVs.
