McGregor Live! features five great shows

Oct. 20—HENDERSON — McGregor Live! will bring five great performances to the McGregor Hall Performing Arts Center stage during the 2023-2024 concert season. Tickets for the five-show package can be purchased in advance for $125 plus tax.

Sponsored by Vance Family Medicine, McGregor Live! 2023-2024 includes:

Ragtime — the Broadway masterpiece is brought to the McGregor Hall 1000-seat auditorium with elegant staging, stunning costumes, a live orchestra and — would you believe it? — a Model T Ford right on stage. The musical will be presented on six dates: Oct. 27, 28, 29 and Nov. 3, 4, 5. Show time for Friday and Saturday shows is 8 p.m. F

— or Sunday shows: 2 p.m.

— An Evening of Christmas One-Act Plays will bring two live performances to the McGregor Hall stage. First, there's Dickens' A Christmas Carol followed by A Charlie Brown Christmas, a musical with a live band. The double feature will play on two weekends: Dec. 1, 2, 3 and Dec. 9 and 10. Show time for Friday and Saturday shows is 7:30 p.m. For Sunday shows: 2 p.m.

— The Tams — kings of smooth soul, R&B and beach music — will play one performance in Henderson: Saturday, Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m. Winners of several gold records and one platinum single, The Tams will perform some of their greatest hits including "What kind of fool (do you think I am)?", "Be young, be foolish, be happy" and others.

— Sail On, The Beach Boys Tribute will perform some of the Beach Boys' greatest hits at McGregor Hall on Friday, Feb. 9, 7:30 p.m. The audience will be treated to such Beach Boys favorites as "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and "Surfin'."

— Tied up in Knotts will feature Karen Knotts, the daughter of the fabulous Don Knotts in a single performance on Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m.

The price of $125 plus tax for the package of five shows represents a saving to regular theater goers. If purchased separately, the tickets would total more than $150.
