McG’s Wonderland To Develop Docuseries On Timepiece Gentleman Scandal In Beverly Hills
EXCLUSIVE: The McG-led Wonderland Sound and Vision is developing a new docuseries based on the alleged crimes of Anthony Farrer, a high-end watch dealer and social media influencer who ran a consignment store in Beverly Hills.
Farrer, whose business was called the Timepiece Gentleman, would collect luxury watches from customers with the promise to sell them on consignment at no more than a 5 percent fee. Instead, he amassed exotic cars, enjoyed extravagant trips and dinners, and rented $100,000-per-month penthouse while operating his business from November of 2022 through August of 2023.

The story came to a head when a whistleblower posted a secret conversation between him and Farrer on TikTok, where Farrer confessed to losing $5 million of his customers’ and investors’ money. At least 20 victims were allegedly duped by Farrer, according to the NYT.
The hero of the scandal was a determined group on Reddit that suspected wrongdoing for years. The people in the group used their collective resources to troll Farrer and help unravel the case.
Farrer was arrested on Nov. 7 on suspicion of wire fraud; his arraignment is scheduled for Dec. 14.
Wonderland secured exclusive access to Farrer, the only doc that will have access to him.
McG, along with Mary Viola and Corey Marsh will executive produce alongside investigative journalist David Kushner, who is also writing an exposé. Kushner’s story has already sold to a major publication, with Wonderland controlling the TV and film rights.
Wonderland is represented by WME and Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern. Kushner is represented by The Gotham Group.
