Mayim Bialik may no longer be part of the Jeopardy! hosting team, but she has mad props for the woman who just became the first game show host in 15 years to break though the boys club.

On Sunday, Password‘s Keke Palmer beat Jeopardy! hosts Bialik and Ken Jennings, as well as Family Feud’s Steve Harvey and Wheel of Fortune’s Pat Sajak, in the Outstanding Host for a Game Show category. Palmer becomes the first woman to win the award since 2009 when Meredith Vieira won for the syndicated run of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

She is also the first Black woman to be nominated or win the category.

“I’m so proud to have been part of the 2022 season of Jeopardy! that won’t he primetime Emmy last night for best game show!” Bialik wrote on social media. “And hearty congratulations to Keke Palmer for being the first woman in 15 years to win best host – you’re an inspiration to women everywhere and I salute you!!!”

In December, Bialik posted on social media that she will no longer be part of the Jeopardy! hosting team.

“As the holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy! news,” she wrote. “Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy! I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Jeopardy! family. For all of you who have supported me through this incredible journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff and crew of America’s Favorite Quiz Show, thank you.”

Ken Jennings is sharing his thoughts on Mayim Bialik‘s exit as host of Jeopardy!. The two had been sharing hosting duties on the syndicated show and its primetime specials.

Jennings will take over as sole host of the syndicated game show.

“It took me off guard, because I loved working with my Mayim and I’m gonna miss her,” Jennings told The Hollywood Reporter “I can’t speak to her decision-making process or her opinions about it. But on my end, I’m just a fan of Jeopardy! and I’m always delighted to host when they call upon me. I just feel extremely lucky to have even been considered for this job as a non-broadcaster.”
