Rejoice, children of Thanos. Dataminers have discovered some clues in the latest patch for Epic Games' Fortnite that seems to reveal the return of the Mad Titan. Mean Grimace made a very popular guest appearance in the game last year around the release of Avengers: Infinity War, and now, as PC Gamer reports, it seems that Endgame will bring Thanos back into the Battle Royale once again.

Hardcore fans are constantly parsing data for clues about which special features video games may debut in their updates. According to the Twitter account "Skin-Tracker," there seem to be some messages in the latest patch that refer to the Mad Titan. One they found reads, "yielded to the POWER of Thanos" and "unleashed an inferno on." That sounds like a pretty good clue to me!

Fortnite is always hosting special events to pump up excitement for their massively successful-title. Last year's Thanos event saw the inclusion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the world of Fortnite-two unfathomably profitable properties coming together in an unprecedented pop culture mashup. With the powers of Epic Games and Marvel together, there's really no telling what Fortnite could do. Perhaps we'll see all the Avengers show up in the new patch as well?

Avengers: Endgame premieres on April 26, so we'll have to wait and see just when Epic Games decides to officially unveil the Sad Bad Guy With the Weird Chin. Until then, you can play Fortnite on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and pretty much any device that has an internet connection.
