Max Schedule August 21-27: New TV & Movies Being Added

An interesting documentary series is topping the Max schedule for August 21-27.

On Wednesday, August 23, the streamer will add BS High to its available content. On HBO, people can watch it from 9:00-10:40 p.m. ET/PT. Directed by Oscar-winning filmmakers Travon Free and Martin Desmond Roe, the documentary series delves into the infamous high school football match that pitted powerhouse IMG Academy against underdog Bishop Sycamore, resulting in a 58-0 thrashing for IMG and several player injuries. This debacle sparked controversy surrounding Bishop Sycamore’s legitimacy and coach Roy Johnson. The unfolding drama highlighted the cutthroat world of football prep programs, where young athletes’ futures are at stake. The documentary premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year.

In addition to Johnson’s commentary, BS High will feature John Branham and Andre Peterson, journalists Andrew King and Bomani Jones, high-school sports investigator Ben Ferree, and former Bishop Sycamore players and their families.

BS High hails from HBO Sports Documentaries. The docuseries is produced by Jack Turner and Spencer Paysinger. The list of executive producers includes Adam McKay, Todd Schulman, Michael Strahan, Constance Schwartz-Morini, Jay Peterson, Todd Lubin, Ankur Chawla, Alex Mather, Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller, and Bentley Weiner.

Next week, Max will also add new content from several channels owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery network. The most eye-catching additions include the freshman season of Tracked and season 11 of Disappeared.
