Singer-songwriter Maty Noyes is blasting the team of her “Stay” collaborator Kygo, claiming his manager punished her for missing a performance by denying her participation in the producer’s Hollywood Bowl concerts on Friday and Saturday nights (October 14-15).

Kesha has spoken out in support of Noyes, writing early Saturday morning on Instagram: “My [heart] is with @matynoyes. Sweetheart you should be singing at the Hollywood Bowl tonight. It’s unfair to you, and it’s unfair to your fans.” Kesha is currently involved in a long and nasty legal battle against her former producer Dr. Luke over allegations that he sexually and emotionally abused her.

Noyes took to social media Friday to share her story, saying Kygo’s manager Myles Shear told her she could not perform at the two Los Angeles concerts because she missed a show earlier in the tour when she was ill. Noting that she wrote the hit song, Noyes reports that she has been traveling the world with Kygo to perform “Stay” for a year without being paid.

“I’m sick of dealing with these sexist pigs in the industry,” Noyes writes. “I’m standing up for myself.”

Shear has responded with an apology. “I would like to personally apologize to Maty for what has come of this situation,” he wrote in a statement. “The recent issues we had been working out should not have kept you from performing at these shows. The Kygo team and I are deeply appreciative for Maty’s dedicated work ethic while sharing stages and success across the world. I’m truly sorry for what was said and for the situation that unfolded, and hope you will accept my apology.”
