Matthew Perry might have been an A-List TV star, but he was living a more modest life over the last few years of his life. After each Friends cast member earned $1 million per episode in the last two seasons of the show’s 10-year run, Perry walked away very wealthy and able to afford any type of estate he could ever imagine. He maintained a very fancy penthouse at an elite building known as The Century in Century City. It took up the entire 40th floor and was described as a “Mansion in the Sky” by the real estate agent. The condo sold for $21 million in June 2021, the same month he split with fiancée Molly Hurwitz.

Perry also offloaded his stunning beachfront Malibu residence for $13.1 million after 10 years of ownership. He traded in those two properties for a lovely “cottage” that cost him $6 million in August 2020. House Beautiful noted that his Pacific Palisades home was “both smaller and less expensive” than the two residences that he sold. With 2,696 square feet and a manageable four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, the fully renovated home was both quaint and quiet compared to his former bold and brash living quarters. The purchase seemed to reflect the new chapter in his life after years of addiction and medical issues, but now, it’s a place that holds quite a bit of sadness for his family and friends.
