The last home that late actor Matthew Perry ever bought has landed on the market. Per Mansion Global, the midcentury Hollywood Hills dwelling was listed Thursday with a $5.2 million asking price. Best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the beloved sitcom Friends, the actor bought the 1957-built structure in May 2023 for $5 million in an off-market deal, months before his death in October at the age of 54.
The single-story structure spans about 2,800 square feet, featuring three bedrooms and four bathrooms. Lined with walls of glass, the back of the house folds around a backyard patio with a swimming pool. In front, a vintage-style privacy screen adds some charm to the streamlined all-white façade.
Inside, a living room area with an office alcove is separated from a billiards room by a double-sided electric fireplace. The primary suite is complete with a walk-in closet and a serene bathroom, which boasts outdoor access and a long stone vanity equipped with dual sinks.
There’s also a simple, contemporary-style eat-in kitchen and a projection room occupying one of the bedrooms. Blonde hardwood floors and a neutral palette unite the interiors. Nearly every area of the abode has sliding glass door access to the back patio, which features a poolside fire pit and a covered lounge area.
The Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing memoirist previously owned a 9,290-square-foot penthouse in the Robert A.M. Stern-designed Century building, which pop sensation Rihanna later bought for $21 million; she returned it to the market a couple of months ago with a $25 million price tag. Perry owned another home in the Hollywood Hills in addition to his residences in Malibu, the celebrity-favorite Sierra Towers building, and the Pacific Palisades.
Listing agents Greg Holcomb and Tim Drukovic of Douglas Elliman declined comment.
