After news broke of Salling's death on Tuesday afternoon, which early reports indicate was a suicide by hanging, Morrison took to Instagram to pay his respects with a heartbreaking post that also reminded his followers that another former actor on "Glee," Cory Montieth, also lost his life at a young age. (Monteith died of a drug overdose in the summer of 2013 after years of struggling with addiction.)

The picture showed Morrison, Monteith and Salling in a picture from an old photo shoot. The caption? Two angel faces on either side of a sad emoji, to represent Morrison mourning the loss of yet another "Glee" cast member.

Morrison was the first major "Glee" star to react to the news.

Salling was 35 when he reportedly took his own life on Tuesday. He had pleaded guilty in October to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor, was awaiting sentencing at the time of his reported death.

Not much else is known at this time.
