Matters of Graves Importance: May Jazz Night, Dueling Pianos, drum circle and more

A big thank you to our Ross County community for making Yellow Day a huge success. Yellow Day Chillicothe is a symbol for a shared commitment to turning the tide against violence and creating a kinder environment in Ross County. Challenge yourselves to do one act of kindness every day. Hold a door open for someone, smile at someone you pass on the street, or, this is a big one, be kind to people on social media. Instead of getting angry at people online, I find myself feeling empathy for negative people. I often wonder what is happening in their lives that makes them so angry with others. I wonder why they can’t see the good in our community because it is EVERYWHERE. Just last week I laughed to myself wondering why people were so upset and focusing on a potential roundabout on Water Street instead of being elated that the state of Ohio gave this area $35 million to continue our revival. For 35 million dollars? Give us three roundabouts. Continuous entertainment is what we can always count on in Chillicothe. Let’s get to it.
