When Chicago Fire comes back, are we going to get to watch Sylvie’s answer to Matt’s proposal actually play out on our screens? –Michelle
I delivered your Q to Chicago Fire showrunner Andrea Newman, and she shared that “Brett’s answer to Casey’s proposal is a mystery that’s revealed in the premiere [airing Wednesday, Jan. 17], during an incident at 51 where Violet has to get creative to save the day.”

Will we see Severide in the Chicago Fire season premiere or will we have to wait? –Kris
I also got your Q in front of showrunner Andrea Newman. “Viewers will have to tune in to see if Severide returns in the premiere,” she teased, “but I’ll say this — Stella Kidd is holding all the cards.”

Do you have any news about Season 2 of Silo? –Kat
Only that production on the Apple TV+ hit’s second season is still underway.

Any word on when Resident Alien is returning for Season 3? –Ivan
“Early 2024” is the very latest word on the Syfy series’ return.

Any scoop on NCIS: Sydney‘s last few episodes? –Mel
When I asked series lead Olivia Swann if the Aussie offshoot’s eight-episode season will leave us with any kind of a cliffhanger, she answered that the Jan. 23, 2024 finale “ends in a way that will make you call CBS and tell them to greenlight Season 2!”

Any word on The Nevers‘ future home? Part 2 is still being broadcast on Tubi but no word on a proper streaming release or physical release? The episodes have been produced, it’s a shame to have them hidden from the audience like that. –D.
Sorry, D., but when a company takes a write-down on a series/movie as Warner Bros. Discovery did with The Nevers, no further revenue can be generated. Meaning, The Nevers can only live on FAST channels, and never be sold on DVD/Blu-ray/digital.

When is SEAL Team going to return? –Mike
It’s gonna be a minute until we get any semblance of a premiere date, seeing as filming on the final season only got underway earlier this month.

Anything on S.W.A.T.‘s final season? –Al
The CBS drama’s farewell run kicks off Friday, Feb. 16, 2024 with the first half of a two-parter that is set in Mexico City and thrusts Hondo, Hicks and Powell (played by Shemar Moore, Patrick St. Esprit and Anna Enger Ritch) into the season-opening action. Powell, for one, “is going to take some lumps,” showrunner Andrew Dettmann previews, “but also will get to kick some ass.”

Do you know if World on Fire will return for Season 3 on PBS? -Maria
There are no updates on its fate at this time.

You asked for La Brea questions: Is there some kind of Time Travel War/Fight in the future? The Hexagon military-style company vs. Lazarus? And will we find out exactly how Gavin’s visions work/who caused them? –Zachary
Zachary, I thiiink that what showrunner David Appelbaum’s told TVLine kills the better part of those two birds with one stone: “We do speak to [Lazarus vs. the ‘Hexagon people’] in later episodes” of the final, six-episode season, premiering Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024. “Without giving too much away, they are people who existed in the same time period, and they are groups connected to a place that has time travel, so there are certain connections between them. But the main link is Gavin, and we’ll explain what his connection is to both of those places.”

Is there a return date for Quantum Leap yet? –Bev
I checked on the NBC sophomore just before we inked up the presses here, and… nope, nothing is locked in yet.

What can you tease about Season 11 of Chicago P.D. (premiering Jan. 17, 2024)? Specifically about Atwater, should we be worried about him because the way that the little boy looked at Atwater after Atwater shot his grandfather gave me and every viewer chills. –Demar
I brought your question to showrunner Gwen Sigan, who wrote back, “This season is all about new possibilities; both good and bad. New possibilities in policing, in relationships, at home in their personal lives…. Our characters are each on the precipice of something new, whether they know it or not.”

Any news on a Season 2 of Wolf Pack? –Lainey
We ask… and we ask… but…. Still crickets, thus far.

I know it was announced during the pandemic and all, but are there any updates on the sequel to The Knick? –Shaun
That follow-up to the Clive Owen-led period medical drama — which would have brought back André Holland as Dr. Algernon Edwards — apparently died on the table. As HBO chief Casey Bloys recently explained, “We did develop scripts… that we didn’t feel strongly enough about, so there are no plans at the moment” for a sequel series. “One thing I’ve learned is ‘never say never,’ but at the moment there are no plans.”

I know they didn’t wind up on the same network in the end, but if Magnum P.I. really is over, is there any hope that characters might show up on NCIS: Hawai’i? Magnum does exist in the Hawaii Five-0/NCIS universe…. — Katherine
Funny, I had suggested to Magnum‘s Zachary Knighton that a future NCIS: Hawai’i case could/should lead Tennant’s team to Rick’s tiki bar, but… I, alas, must report that said set has already been claimed by NCIS: Hawai’i (and is being modified enough to not be recognizable as La Mariana).

Any scoops on Reacher? Particularly, will Maria Sten (Neagley) play a bigger role this season? –Christopher
Since sending this email, you have likely seen in the early episodes that Neagley does get much more to do this season. In fact, Sten has a particularly powerful scene at the end of Episode 6; I’ll publish my interview with her about it when the time comes.

When will there be new Hell’s Kitchen episodes telecasted? –Beverly
The Fox competition resumes its season on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, and will have a two-hour finale on Jan. 25.
