During his Tuesday appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Matt Damon shared some behind-the-scenes details about the Dunkin’ Super Bowl commercial starring himself, Ben Affleck and Tom Brady.

Colbert showed a photo from the ad featuring Damon and Affleck posing in matching Dunkin’ tracksuits alongside Tom Brady. “As if I have to ask, whose idea was this?” wondered the host. “That is clearly not my idea,” joked Damon. “We had a lot of fun doing it, though.”

The host then shared his favorite line from Damon in the commercial: “Remember how I said I would do anything for you? This is anything.”

Damon admitted that he “actually said that to [Affleck] during filming and he just left it in.” Colbert shared a chuckle with the actor over it and noted, “In other words, ‘When I said I gave you a chit that said I would do anything for you,’ you just burned it on an ad.” The Saving Private Ryan star quipped, “However much time we have on this beautiful planet, he’s got no more chit with me.”

Damon and Colbert later donned the Dunkin’-branded tracksuits from the campaign, which were available for purchase but quickly sold out following the viral commercial.

Besides chatting about his decades-long friendship with Affleck, Damon also discussed the upcoming Jason Bourne movie in the works at Universal. While he kept mum on major details surrounding the franchise’s next installment, including whether he would be a part of the film, Damon praised director Edward Berger, who helmed All Quiet on the Western Front. “Fantastic film … and he’s wonderful and he said he had an idea,” the actor said.

When asked by Colbert if he was excited to be potentially working with Berger, Damon responded, “I would love to work with him, so he’s working on it. Look, I’m as anxious as you are to see if this thing — I hope it’s great and that we can do it.”

Damon could potentially become involved with the Bourne film, The Hollywood Reporter previously revealed, but there’s currently no script and thus no star commitments.

Damon also expressed being unsure of how long he could continue to star the franchise, remarking, “At a certain point, someone’s going to need to take it over. I mean, I’m not getting any younger.” Colbert, who had remarked earlier in the conversation that he touched Damon’s arm when the guest walked out and was impressed by his muscle, didn’t agree that it’d soon be time for the 53-year-old to call it quits on portraying the former CIA assassin. “You’re fit as a fiddle, man. You are rock hard!” exclaimed the host.
