The three Oscar-nominated members of the cast of “Oppenheimer”—Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, and Robert Downey Jr.—made an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Thursday night. With just days left until voting stops (and tabulation begins) for the awards on March 10, it’s understandable if folks were getting a little loopy.

Kimmel decided to show the three a clip from a recent interview Murphy did with Scott Pelley for CBS’s “60 Minutes” and, even though there wasn’t a punchline, taking it out of context sent Murphy’s costars into hysterics. (Murphy himself seemed to be having a good time with it, too.)

The clip shows Pelly quoting Murphy’s other costar Matt Damon (coincidentally, Kimmel’s perennial foil) saying that the Irish actor is a lousy dinner guest. In reality, Damon was complimenting him, suggesting that his concentration during the difficult production of Christopher Nolan’s three-hour IMAX drama occupied the man’s thoughts even during off hours. But the look on Murphy’s face as Pelley repeats the diss is classic. Here’s the clip.

While Downey is doing his best to bring the phrase ROFLMAO to reality, Blunt accurately points out “that’s gonna be a new meme.”

Kimmel’s guests represent three of the 13 Oscar nominations for “Oppenheimer.” In addition to Best Actor (Murphy), Best Supporting Actress (Blunt), and Best Supporting Actor (Downey), it is up for Best Picture, Best Director for Christopher Nolan, Best Adapted Screenplay for Nolan, Best Score, Best Sound, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Costume Design, and Best Film Editing. Somehow, the nominating committees did not see fit to find room for it in the Best Visual Effects category (or even get it on the shortlist) despite the great work in the film
