The National’s Matt Berninger Shares New Song “Distant Axis”: Watch the Video
Matt Berninger has shared a new song called “Distant Axis.” It’s the latest track from the National frontman’s first solo album, Serpentine Prison, which arrives October 2 via Book Records, a new label founded by Berninger and Booker T. Jones, in conjunction with Concord. Below, check out the “Distant Axis” video, directed by Berninger, his brother (and Mistaken for Strangers mastermind) Tom Berninger, and Chris Sgroi.
Jones produced Serpentine Prison, which was announced back in May with the release of the title track. The National’s latest album, I Am Easy to Find, came out in 2019.
