'The Masked Singer' Takes Over the Emmy Red Carpet With Security Team!

For one particular group of stars at the 2019 Emmy Awards, it wasn't about "who" they were wearing ... it was about "who" was underneath!

The stars from the upcoming second season of "The Masked Singer" took over the red carpet during the Emmys pre-show.

Six out of the 16 contestants arrived in style, along with a security team to make sure nobody's identify was revealed ahead of the season premiere next week.

It makes sense that all of the "Masked" stars would be at the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, as the lineup of mystery stars has collectively received 69 Emmy Award nominations.

They've also amassed 42 Grammy Award nominations, 22 Broadway shows, three New York Times best-sellers and two have been named Time magazine’s Most Influential People.

Thingamajig, The Ladybug, The Skeleton, The Rottweiler, The Egg and The Flamingo were seen in full costume.

The other characters expected to make their debut on September 25 are; The Penguin, The Panda, The Butterfly, The Leopard, The The Fox, The Eagle, The Ice Cream, The Tree, The Black Widow and The Flower.

Hosted by Nick Cannon, with panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke, "The Masked Singer" is a top-secret singing competition in which celebrities perform while shrouded in elaborate costumes.

Each week a singer is eliminated and their identify is revealed.

“The Masked Singer” Season 2 debuts with a special two-hour premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 25 on Fox.
