The Masked Singer’s Starfish Revealed? We’re Office-ially Sure She’s [Spoiler]

Starfish is quickly becoming one of The Masked Singer judges’ favorite contestants this season, despite them having absolutely no clue who she really is. (Seriously, those guesses have been way off.)

Based on the clues provided thus far, it’s clear to TVLine that Starfish — who returns to compete with the rest of Group A on Wednesday (Fox, 8/7c) — is Kate Flannery, best known for playing Meredith Palmer on all nine seasons of NBC’s The Office.

So, how did we reach this conclusion after spending just a single episode with Starfish? Let’s look at some of her more obvious clues: For starters, Starfish recalled “serving steaks to the stars” before making it as an actress, specifically mentioning that Steve Martin and Whitney Houston were among the biggest names she served during her waitressing days. This is an experience that “Starfish” loves to talk about; Flannery previously shared it during a May 2023 interview with Philadelphia Magazine, once again calling out Martin and Houston by name.

Starfish also boasted that her content has been streamed for 50 billion minutes in a single year. While many viewers assumed she was referring to music, Starfish was actually referring to The Office, which remains one of the most-streamed shows of all time.

Starfish’s first episode also featured smaller clues, like a four-leaf clover representing Flannery’s Irish heritage, and a doll for her part in the 1996 Off-Broadway production of Valley of the Dolls.
