“The Masked Singer” is not on this week — here's why and what it means for the next few episodes

There's no new episode of The Masked Singer this week, and — cue Ken Jeong impression — we know exactly why that is and when it'll air next.

As is often the case this time of year, the episode has been deferred due to the World Series. This week's episode lands at the same date and general time as Game 5 of baseball's top matchup, which Fox has the rights to. So, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers will be battling it out on your TV screens instead of a bunch of masked singing celebrities.

However, the World Series will be over by Nov. 4 at the latest, which means The Masked Singer will be right back on schedule starting next week, Nov. 8, when the new episode will air on Fox. The rest of the season should continue as planned from there.

Speaking of the new episode, next week's all-new Masked Singer will feature "One Hit Wonders Night," featuring four new celebrities singing a collection of songs that were once all the rage. That's right: The third and final group of the season — consisting of Donut, Hibiscus, Anteater, and Candelabra to start — is finally making its season 10 debut.

The contestants this season boast a combined 40 medals, 33 Grammy nominations, 7 hall of fame awards, 3 lifetime achievement awards, and over 50 tattoos. Tune-in as another celebrity is unmasked in the all-new "One Hit Wonders Night" episode of The Masked Singer airing Wednesday, Nov. 8 (8:00-9:02 p.m. ET/PT) on Fox.
