- Oops!Something went wrong.Please try again later.
This could be the start of a long-awaited reveal. Goldfish returns to The Masked Singer on Wednesday (Fox, 8/7c) for the Group A finals, but we’ve already heard enough — we know exactly who she is.
Frankly, we had this one pegged from the moment she started singing in the Season 11 premiere, and we’ve even more confident hearing her clues. So listen up, Wildcats, we’re calling it now: Goldfish is none other than Vanessa Hudgens.

How do we know? Again, that voice. If you’ve seen the High School Musical trilogy, Hudgens’ distinct sound is likely seared into your subconscious. That’s certainly true for us, and we’d recognize it anywhere.
Now to address some of the more obvious clues Goldfish has presented during her two appearances on the show thus far. There was a Cinderella slipper, a nod to Hudgens’ starring role in Netflix’s Princess Switch franchise; a jar of candy hearts, which referenced her campaign for the fashion brand Candies; a snow globe, hinting at her roles in multiple holiday movies, including The Knight Before Christmas; and a bat, which could represent her starring role as a vampire in the 2015 flick Freaks of Nature.
Goldfish also complained about dating in Hollywood, specifically not being able to escape her exes. And wouldn’t you have a tough time avoiding your ex-boyfriends if they happened to be Zac Efron and Austin Butler?
Are you on board with our Hudgens theory, or do you think a different celebrity is hiding in Goldfish’s costume? Drop a comment with your thoughts below.
