8:00 p.m. — “Previously on ‘The Masked Singer’!” In the Season 11 premiere, Goldfish, Starfish, Ugly Sweater, Lovebird and Book each took the stage for the first time. Before a vote could take place, Book ripped off his costume to reveal comedian Kevin Hart, who said he was only their to prank Nick. Regardless of his reasons, the funnyman’s off-key performance of “So Sick” by Ne-Yo probably would have sent him packing anyways. Let’s find out who sings tonight!

8:03 p.m. — The festivities kick off with the panelists dressed in full costumes as Nick descends to the stage in a hot air balloon. Rita is Dorothy, Ken is the Cowardly Lion, Jenny is Glenda the Good Witch and Robin is the Wizard of Oz himself. Then, Season 4 winner LeAnn Rimes sings a special rendition of Judy Garland‘s “Over the Rainbow,” taking that classic off the table for any of tonight’s mystery performers.

8:06 p.m. — First up from Group B is Gumball. He says he’s inspired by the Tin Man, saying, “When you met him he was a little rusty, maybe just like me.” Next, in Gumball’s clue package he reveals, “Just like the Tin Man, my heart took quite a beating, because my Yellow Brick Road to success came with zero directions. I knew I wanted to end up on the stage, but didn’t know how to make that happen so I did anything and everything to get an audience. I beatboxed on the street, I performed at theme parks and even got boo’d off the stage at a competition…for winning! It felt like nothing seemed to stick. I watched everyone else around me succeed time and time again, but I refused to quit because no one was going to burst my bubble. And, like a lot of us in Hollywood I needed a little timing and a lot of luck, but, I’m proof that even if your road isn’t paved with gold, as long as your heart is you’ll find your way.” Visual clues included a map of the Southern United States with a heart around Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, Gumball playing a drum set (with two other band members), a big spider and a horse pulling a carriage.

8:10 p.m. — Gumball is singing a medley of “If I Only Had a Heart” by Jack Haley and “Heartbeat Song” by Kelly Clarkson. He’s got a great pop/rock voice that definitely sounds like something we’ve heard on the radio. Ken thinks he sounds like a boy bander. Gumball’s got range! He ends the performance by dropping off a gumball to Rita with a heart on it. Next, a flying monkey drops down a clue — a heart clock. Gumball states, “Deep down, at the end of the day, Tin Man always had the heart of a superhero…and I actually might too.” This leads the panel to guess Chace Crawford (Rita), Kevin Jonas (Robin) and Jamie Dornan (Ken). Rita says, “If that’s Jamie Dornan I’ll eat my hair right now.”

8:15 p.m. — Next up is Miss Cleocatra. This diva is carried out by some oiled up studs before saying she relates to the Good Witch. In her clue package Miss Cleocatra reveals, “Are you a good witch or a bad witch? It’s taken me some time to figure that out. Long ago, I was living life in technicolor, but I always worried the empire I built could all crumble beneath me. My days were horribly split, going from gorgeous rainbows to horrendous black and white. People were calling me a national treasure, and yet, I felt wicked. That’s when I got the diagnosis I never wanted, but so desperately needed. Suddenly, everything became crystal clear! I’m so glad I reached out for help because now I know I’m the Good Witch and can use my powers for good.” Visual clues included an hourglass, a sign that says “Bel-Air,” a suitcase with the sign “Vacay!” on it, a blackbird and a tiara. To me, her speech delivery and the fact that she came out kicking her leg up SCREAMS Jenifer Lewis — and I have a feeling that “diagnosis” she speaks of is her bi-polar disorder she’s been outspoken about.

8:20 p.m. — Miss Cleocatra is singing “Stormy Weather” by Etta James. It’s a jazzy, soulful rendition only a true diva can deliver. She really put her paws into that performance! The panelists are bowing down to her. For an additional clue we get a silver star, to which Miss Cleocatra responds, “I’ve already worked my magic on an Emmy Award-winning show.” This leads the panelists to guess Taraji P. Henson (Ken), Sheryl Lee Ralph (Jenny) and Loretta Devine (Robin). I’m sticking with my own guess of Jenifer Lewis on this one. What do YOU think?

8:30 p.m. — The third performer tonight is Afghan Hound. That may sound like a dirty ol’ mutt, but this pooch struts out like a supermodel! It’s surprising to hear she relates most to the Cowardly Lion. In her clue package Afghan Hound reveals, “Just like the Lion, every single day I tell myself to be brave. When I was young I would dream about what life could be like over the rainbow. And for my family and I, the dreams we dared to dream came true. Best of all, we were together…until recently. Suddenly it was like our whole house came crashing down and I found myself alone, lost and left to pick up the pieces. But, I had to keep going and learn to laugh through the pain. I know I’m not a good singer, but I’m here to put on a fun performance and just have a great time. I want to make my family smile and laugh from afar. That’s what’s giving me the courage tonight.” Visual clues included a necklace holding a dog tooth (is that a tooth?), a t-shirt with Afghan Hound on it, a TV remote with her picture on it, a family photo that looks like she has parents and two brothers, and a piece of jewelry that looks like a house with a key attached.

8:35 p.m. — Afghan Hound is singing “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” by The Tokens. She’s right, she’s a terrible singer, but she is having fun! She can’t even help herself from laughing mid-performance. It’s a terrible vocal, but still entertaining. The men in black bring out an additional clue — the Cowardly Lion’s badge of courage. Afghan Hound responds, “Like the Lion, it takes courage to be on TV. Especially with the characters of my family.” This leads the panelists to guess Sistine Stallone (Rita), Olivia Jade Giannulli (Ken) and Brooke Hogan (Jenny).

8:40 p.m. — The last performer in Group B is Beets. It’s a duo! They’re most inspired by Dorothy and Toto because of their loyalty as friends. In their clue package, Beets reveal, “There’s no place like home and wouldn’t we know it. Home for us has been wherever we’re together. And for a moment we had millions of eyes on us. Yea, 40 million of them. Even when it felt like the world was trying to pit us against each other, we’ve always had each other’s back. Of course, we’re family. We work so well together. I mean, his big ol’ brain and his unbeatable heart. I guess all we need now is to find the nerve to turn up together on this stage. It will be like going back to our roots. Wait a second, who’s Dorothy and who’s Toto in this relationship? Well, I am the feisty one so clearly I’m Toto. Probably time for you to click your heels three times, Dorothy, and take us to stage. Here we go!” Visual clues included an old radio, a book called “Beeting the Odds,” a 2 of Hearts playing card and a basket of apples.

8:45 p.m. — Beets are singing “Home” by Michael Buble. While these two seemed like they could be comedians by how they presented themselves, they’ve got incredible voices. It took me a few seconds to think about why I recognize these voices and then it hit me. I’m nearly positive this is Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard from “American Idol.” The voices are undeniable. For an additional clue, Toto brings out…himself! Beets say, “Like Toto and Dorothy, we’re the best of friends and we’re pretty good co-stars too.” This leads the panelists to guess Will Arnett & Jason Bateman (Rita), K-Ci & JoJo (Ken) and Steve Martin & Martin Short (Robin).

8:53 p.m. — The studio audiences has voted for their favorite and the bottom two will go mask-to-mask in a wild smackdown. Those two are Afghan Hound and Gumball. That means Miss Cleocatra and Beets are safe. Afghan Hound and Gumball each put their own spin on “Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead.” This really is no contest. Afghan Hound is so awful, haha. But she is entertaining! That said, Gumball just wiped the floor with her.

9:02 p.m. — The panelists have submitted their final vote and it’s time for someone to unmask. The person leaving tonight is Afghan Hound. But before she reveals herself, the panelists submit their final guesses: Bethenny Frankel (Robin), Brooke Hogan (Jenny), Olivia Jade Giannulli (Ken) and Sistine Stallone (Rita). At last, it’s time for the Afghan Hound to “take it off.” When she pulls off the mask we find out the panelists were all wrong! It’s reality TV star Savannah Chrisley! Jenny said she was ALMOST going to guess Savannah, but almost doesn’t count. Sorry, Jenny!
