8:00 p.m. — “Previously on ‘The Masked Singer’!” In episode 7, four characters took “The Masked Singer” stage to sing their hearts out in hopes of advancing to the next round. In the end, Cuddle Monster was forced to unmask following his performance of “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” by New Kids on the Block. The huggable beast was revealed to be former NBA all-star Metta World Peace. Who will unmask tonight?

8:05 p.m. — Kicking off the Group A final is S’more. In his clue package he reveals, “I’m on fire after beating Pickle in the smackdown. Now, making it into the finale would be a dream come true. When I got here, I’m gonna be honest. I was a little nervous. This is unlike any experience I’ve had as a performer. This costume is hot and it’s heavy. It’s a hell of a lot of cardio. I’ve been up until 2 or 3 in the morning practicing my choreography. It’s like I’m back in boy band boot camp. But, me and the S’more are now becoming one and I’m really starting to feel a different level of confidence in this competition. Before I got here the thought of returning to the stage felt scary, but hearing the panel’s comments week after week has meant so much to me and it’s made me feel like I still belong on the stage. So tonight, I’m bringing my A game and I’m here to roast the competition.” Visual clues included dumbbells, an exercise bike and gator boots.

8:10 p.m. — S’more is singing “That’s the Way (I Like It)” by KC and the Sunshine Band. He’s having fun up there and delivering a solid vocal as Jenny says, “He sounds familiar!” It’s a great way to kick off the competition and S’more even admits he has a crush on Jenny calling her “his favorite covergirl.” A golden key comes out as an additional clue, to which S’more says, “Robin, I’ve been inside your house. You have great taste in music and home decor.” With that, the panelists guess Kevin Richardson (Robin), Ashley Parker Angel (Jenny) and Jordan Knight (Nicole).

8:15 p.m. — Next to the stage is Cow. In his clue package he reveals, “Getting everyone up and moving on ‘2000s Night’ was such a blast. I’m so thrilled to be in the Group A finals. My mom is the strongest person I’ve ever met. She’s been my foundation forever and she still is. Growing up, I recall my mom having seven jobs at one time, like literally coming home from one to eat a sandwich and then on to the next one. Watching her struggle was hard, so it was always my dream to take care of her in the way she took care of me. The day I was able to support her with my music was the day I felt like I really made it. If I learned nothing from her, it’s that you can fall a million times, but if you get up a million and one you’re still in the race. That advice has been the secret to my success and I’m channeling it tonight to make it into the finale.” Visual clues included a traffic light (on red) and a black and silver football.

8:20 p.m. — Cow is singing “Ring My Bell” by Anita Ward. He has such a familiar R&B voice, but he’s throwing me off by his ability to work this dress! Nicole also feels like she knows this voice, but can’t quite place it. Regardless, Cow is a great vocalist worthy of advancing. An extra clue rolls out for some extra insight. It’s a sign that says “HUSBAND.” Cow comments, “Not my husband. Your husband Jenny. This Cow is absolutely a lady, however, I have spent some time with your hubby.” This leads the panelists to guess Nelly (Jenny), Ne-Yo (Robin) and Usher (Ken).

8:25 p.m. — Tonight’s final performer is Gazelle. In her clue package she reveals, “Making it to the Group A finals feels incredible! I’m one step closer to the finale and I’m not going to stop here. I was truly a hammy, performative kid. Every night I would wear a performative costume, sit at the top of our stairs and put on a show for my family. But I was definitely the black sheep. My parents were athletes. My sister was always focused on academics. Despite being so different from them, they’ve always shown me nothing but support. My parents made a lot of sacrifices for me. They uprooted their entire lives just so I could live my dreams and I wouldn’t be here without them. So tonight, this performance is a thank you for their unconditional love.” Visual clues included a love letter to Ken, Nick and Robin, a magnifying glass and a paper that says “MYSTERY.”

8:30 p.m. — Gazelle is singing “On the Radio” by Donna Summer. Almost instantly her voice gives Jenny chills. She has a beautiful voice. Halfway through the song she kicks things up a gear, going from balladeer to dance queen. Ken calls it her best performance yet. For an extra clue we see a sign that says “Island Vibes.” Gazelle says, “Hey Nicole, just like you, I too hold the islands close to my heart.” This leads the panelists to guess Auliʻi Cravalho (Nicole), Vanessa Hudgens (Nicole), Maggie Q (Robin) and Constance Wu (Ken).

8:35 p.m. — The panelists and studio audience have voted. Whoever has the least amount of votes will be eliminated. The first singer getting unmasked tonight S’more. Gazelle and Cow head backstage and prepare for the Battle Royale.

8:40 p.m. — Before S’more takes it off the panelists submit their final guesses: Kevin Richardson (Robin), AJ McLean (Ken), Ashley Parker Angel (Jenny) and Jordan Knight (Nicole). It’s time to find out! S’more slowly pulls off that mask to reveal himself as former O-Town singer and actor Ashley Parker Angel! Jenny was right!

8:50 p.m. — It’s time for an epic Battle Royale between Gazelle and Cow. But first, Season 4’s Popcorn, Taylor Dayne, stops by to belt out “I Will Survive.” For the Battle Royale, Gazelle and Cow each put their own spin on “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor. It’s a little weird they just had Taylor come out and do the exact same song, but it’s a classic so I’ll get over it. Gazelle and Cow both sound great so I don’t know how this vote will turn out.

9:02 p.m. — The winner of the Battle Royale is Cow! They have secured a spot in the season finale as the Group A champion. Gazelle’s journey ends here, but before she unmasks the panelists give their final guesses: Maggie Q (Robin), Vanessa Hudgens (Nicole), Shay Mitchell (Jenny) and Constance Wu (Ken). It’s time for Gazelle to take it off, but before she removes her mask Ken smashes the Ding Dong Keep it On bell! That means Gazelle will also advance to the season finale and the Ding Dong Keep it On bell can’t be used in the Group B or Group C finals. That’s a wrap for tonight! Next week Group B will have their final in “Rock Night.”
