Mary Lou Retton is celebrating a milestone in her recovery!

The Olympic gold medal gymnast, 56, posed next to some of her daughters in a peach, printed top and peach skirt in a photograph shared by her oldest daughter, Shayla Kelley, on Instagram Sunday.

"H🐰ppy Easter ! 🐣 Missing @emmajeankelley !!!" Shayla, 28, captioned the picture. She wore a pink and white gingham patterned dress as she stood next to her mom and sister Mckenna, 26, who was wearing a bright green dress with a wide-brimmed hat. Retton's daughter Skyla, 23, stood on the far right in a white dress.

Per the caption, Retton's youngest daughter, 21-year-old Emma, was absent from the photo. The athlete shares all of her daughters with her ex-husband Shannon Kelley.

In October 2023, Shayla announced via an Instagram Story that her mom was "fighting for her life" after being diagnosed with a "rare form of pneumonia."

"She is not able to breathe on her own. She’s been in the ICU for over a week now, the story said, also disclosing that Retton was "not insured."

Retton eventually recovered enough to leave the Texas-based hospital and shared details of her harrowing experience in a Today show interview with Hoda Kotb in January.

At the time, Retton revealed that she was "on oxygen."

"I'm so grateful to be here. I am blessed to be here, because there was a time when they were about to put me on life support," she went on to reveal.

The former gymnast also told Kotb, 59, why she was uninsured during her health scare.

“When COVID hit and after my divorce, and all my pre-existing — I’ve had over 30 operations of orthopedic stuff — I couldn’t afford it,” she said. “I couldn’t afford it. But who would even know that this was going to happen to me? That’s the bottom line, I couldn’t afford it.”
