Marvel's Tom Holland has provided a major update on when his third Spider-Man movie will finish filming.

Spider-Man 3 (that's what we'll call it for now, until it's renamed Spider-Man: The Rise of J Jonah Jameson) is set to arrive in cinemas on November 5, 2021, with production scheduled to begin this year.

Before he can film his next arachnid boy adventure, however, he first has to shoot Sony's Uncharted, the video game adaptation in which he plays protagonist Nathan Drake.

Fortunately for Marvel fans, Holland has be able to inform fans when exactly he'll be donning those red and blue tights again.

"Finish Uncharted, finish Spider-Man in February next year," the actor said in a video posted on his dad's Patreon account. "Two press tours, maybe together, which should take six weeks worth of work."

Spider-Man 3 was originally scheduled for release on July 16, 2021 as part of the highly-anticipated Phase 4 of the MCU.

However, as we're sure you'll be aware, the entire Phase was forced into a reshuffle by the coronavirus pandemic, with Black Widow (the film that was meant to launch the new Phase) pushed back to November 2020.

Previously, Holland confirmed that shooting on his third Spider-Man instalment will begin in July. He also promised that the film will be "absolutely insane".

Zendaya will also be returning to the cast MJ, and we fully expect Marisa Tomei to reprise her role as Aunt May as well.

Spider-Man 3 is set for release on November 5, 2021.
