Martina McBride, repeatedly named Female Vocalist of the Year by the Country Music Association, will perform this summer at the Aetos Center for the Performing Arts.

Her show will be at 7 p.m. Friday, June 14 at the relatively new center, which is part of the Nixa High School campus. Tickets go on sale April 11 at www.aetoscenter.net.

The Kansas native and singer-songwriter, who is known for her soprano voice, released her debut album in the early 1990s.

McBride, who now lives in Nashville, has been nominated for multiple Grammy awards, sold more than 23 million albums, including 20 Top 10 singles and six No.1 hits. She has also been named Top Female Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music.

Her best-known songs include "My Baby Loves Me," "Wild Angels" "A Broken Wing" and "Independence Day," which is about domestic violence.

McBride's charity work includes efforts to prevent domestic violence and support its survivors. For that, she won the Covenant House Beacon of Hope Award and Music Business Association's prestigious Harry Chapin Memorial Humanitarian Award.

She has released two cookbooks including "Martina's Kitchen Mix: My Recipe Playlist for Real Life" in 2018 and contributes to different causes through her Team Music is Love initiative.
