Martin Short Resurrects Jiminy Glick, Interviews Fallon's President Trump

Who would have ever guessed that President Donald Trump’s most hard-hitting interview would take place on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Admittedly, it wasn’t the real Donald Trump. The titular host appeared in character as the Commander-in-Chief on Friday for a Q&A with Martin Short’s legendary alter-ego Jiminy Glick.

“I’m here with the former reality star, bankrupt casino owner and the forty-fif— forty-fifffff— forty-fifth president of the United States,” Glick began, struggling to get through the final descriptor. “You’re such a handsome man,” he continued, making note of Trump’s appearance. “You look like Dennis the Menace made a bunch of bad life choices.”

Moving on, Glick got right to business, asking POTUS whether he would characterize his first 100 days in office as a “complete embarrassment or a total failure.” He later grilled Trump about his alleged ties to Russia (“You’ve met Vladimir Putin. What does he taste like?”) and asked how Vice President Mike Pence could be against gay people and still “walk around with a stick stuck up his a—.”

The “interview” also included queries about the president’s less-than-robust vocabulary and the whereabouts of First Lady Melania Trump. Press PLAY on the video above to watch it in full, then chime in below.
