Father-son film stars Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez are returning to Cincinnati on July 7 for a fireside chat as part of the Over-the-Rhine International Film Festival, where they'll talk all things film and family.

Film Cincinnati is presenting the "intimate evening" at Memorial Hall in partnership with Over-the-Rhine International Film Festival being held July 6 to 8.

Sheen and Estevez will also discuss their Ohio roots. Sheen is from Dayton and Estevez, who is known for the Mighty Ducks franchise and "The Way," is an Over-the-Rhine resident and vocal supporter of the Cincinnati streetcar. Estévez isn't shy about his ties to the Queen City – "The Public," which he wrote and directed, is set in the Cincinnati Public Library.

The last time both Estevez and his father were in Cincinnati was in 2011 for the international press tour of "The Way," which was written and directed by Estevez with Sheen in the starring role.

"I am elated that I finally get my mom and pop back to Cincinnati after all these years," Estevez said in a press release.

The fireside chat will be moderated by Executive Director Kristen Schlotman at Film Cincinnati and Over-the-Rhine International Film Festival's artistic director tt stern-enzi. The discussion will be introduced by Mayor Aftab Pureval.

"We are thrilled to host an evening with these icons," Schlotman said in a release. "It’s been a dream of ours for over a decade."

The event begins at 7 p.m. with a VIP meet and greet available for purchase beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are available following the film festival's "pay what you can" policy and can be purchased at otrfilmfest.org.
