Martin Scorsese’s Awesome Impression of Robert De Niro
Martin Scorsese appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night and let everyone in on his favorite Robert De Niro impression. However, Scorsese confessed, “I don’t really do impressions of Bob. I like to think over the years we’ve kind of melted into each other in a way.”
The impression was a simple “OK,” but when you’re a film legend, OK is enough. The director loved that particular moment because of the powerful subtext behind such a minimal statement. Scorsese said that he often uses it in his day-to-day life, as it implies he’s “letting go” but not really.
Maybe the next time De Niro stops by The Tonight Show he’ll return the favor and give the audience an impression of Scorsese.
