Martha Stewart just gave fans a super-rare update on her granddaughter Jude, specifically the unique, and rare, trait she has!

On May 23, Stewart shared a super-rare pic of her granddaughter Jude to her Instagram. She shared the rare close-up with the caption reading, “I have always loved that my Granddaughter has a brown streak in her blue eyes Unusual?”

In the photo, we get a close-up of Jude’s eye, where we see she has a brown streak in her blue eye.

Now, this prominent brown patch in her right eye could be heterochromia iridum, which is when the eyes are different colors. It’s extremely rare, and while it’s typically one eye one color and another eye another color, this can also be classified as heterochromia or, rather, a sectoral heterochromia.

Many stars actually have heterochromia like Mila Kunis, Kate Bosworth, Jane Seymour, and more.

For those who don’t know, Stewart has one daughter named Alexis Stewart, born Sept 1965, who shared two children named Jude, 13, and Truman, 12.

Alexis was previously open about her fertility treatments to conceive, and how she later brought her two children into the world via gestational surrogate. Before she welcomed her two children, she spoke about how Martha helped her throughout it all. Per People, she said that Martha “desperately” wanted grandchildren and gave her all the support in the world, saying, “She’s very supportive. She tells me it will happen all the time.”

These stars are sharing their thoughts and feeling on being grandparents.
