How They Met

Stewart and Dogg met on the set of "The Martha Stewart Show" in 2008. To both their delight, Dogg showed her how to make his homemade mashed potatoes recipe. Moreover, he discussed his terminology and vocabulary specific to his upbringing.

The audience ate it up, and Stewart realized that they had a certain platonic chemistry that's perfect for the camera. Although they're an odd pair, that's usually what does well in comedies, putting two unlikely friends together in fun situations.

Return To Show

After fans pleaded for more, Dogg returned to "The Martha Stewart Show" to bake brownies. In perfect Dogg style, he hilariously kept saying allusions to marijuana at a period when it was still illegal in all parts of the country for recreational use.

Keeping up with his pace and wit, Stewart played along with the Mary Jane jokes, not hiding anything. When she turned the oven on, he said to turn the heat to 420, making everyone in the room laugh.

Martha and Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party

On VH1, a channel meant for fun and juicy reality TV, they took advantage of Stewart and Dogg's friendship and gave them "Martha and Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party". Shot in between their crazy schedules. Dogg touring frequently, they were able to knock out ten episodes a season.

Still going strong, the show premiered its third season in 2019 and received an Emmy nomination in 2017. They both had a blast, attributing their chemistry with each other's laid back and kind natures.

Shenanigans

These two are still going strong, reuniting in whatever scenario is available. Randomly, they both ended up as roasters for "Justin Bieber's Comedy Roast" and having a blast dragging that youngster.

Funnier still, they'll meet up to do wild sketches for their potluck special, one of them re-enacting the pottery clay scene from "Ghost". Their second one was them re-enacting the iconic "Titanic" scene with Dicaprio holding Winslet. In their version, Snoop says "I'm frying" as he fries potatoes along to Celine Dion.
