Martha Stewart’s fine dining meal left fans scratching their heads.

On Thursday, the lifestyle expert, 82, shared photos of her elegant dinner — but a chicken and lobster dish caught her followers’ attention.

The celebrity chef had an “early 20th century dining experience” at Maison Barnes in New York City, Stewart wrote on Instagram. The meal included pâté, intricate desserts and, most notably, a roast chicken stuffed with a lobster.

The plated dish consisted of a lobster head, claws and tail jutting out of a whole chicken. Another photo showed how the interesting dish was served on individual plates with the proteins sliced in an alternating sequence.

She shared photos of the entire meal but the jaw-dropping surf and turf dish created a buzz among her 2 million Instagram followers.

“Chicken of the sea woah I get it now,” one commenter wrote, and another joked, “I'll have your finest food, stuffed with your second finest.”

Other fans thought the lobster-chicken-hybrid looked like something from a science fiction movie. One referenced Oscar-winning Poor Things and another person commented that the dinner looked like something from The Hunger Games.

"That's a lobstrosity," one commenter quipped, while another said, "This is terrifying."

Stewart is no stranger to breaking the internet with her social media posts. Last year, followers criticized a cocktail Stewart posted that was made with a piece of an iceberg. She also frequently takes viral seductive selfies.

Most recently, she posted a steamy mirror selfie in December that echoed her sultry pool selfie from July 2020.

Her poolside photo became such a huge pop culture moment and she said that she received "so many proposals and so many propositions" in the weeks after the snapshot went viral, in an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2021.

Since then, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue 2023 cover star has taken on the role as a thirst trap expert. She has shared her tips on taking selfies with PEOPLE in 2022 and in TikTok campaigns.
