Marshawn Lynch gives away 2,000 free water park tickets to Oakland kids

The Beast Mode Train rolls on.

Marshawn Lynch continues to set himself up as the guy to watch in 2017, not only for what he’s doing for the Oakland Raiders on the field, but also what he’s doing for the fans off it.

The latest move: giving away 2,000 free tickets to an Oakland-area water park to kids who swing by his store. That’s the way to craft the next generation of fans in a hot summer:

Nice gesture, very much in line with Lynch’s kids-first mentality, like the time he helped fund haircuts for kids with good grades. But we want to see Beast Mode himself at a water park, hooked up with a GoPro and providing running commentary. Is that really too much to ask?

Lynch was one of the most fascinating characters in football for several years, from his refusal to answer even the most innocuous interview questions to his earth-shattering, secondary-crushing breakaway runs. He’ll provide Oakland with what’s likely its last round of happy Raiders memories this season and next before the team uproots for Las Vegas.
