Marsha Hervey Dies; Hervey/Grimes Talent Agency Co-Founder Was 79

Long time talent agent Marsha Hervey, 79, died in her Los Angeles home on Saturday from complications of Alzheimer’s. Hervey was the co-owner and founder of the boutique talent agency Hervey/Grimes, and the mother of TV producer and former child actor Jason Hervey (Wonder Years) and entertainment attorney Scott Hervey.

Hervey founded Hervey/Grimes with partner Pam Grimes (mother of actor Scott Grimes) in 1991. The agency helped launch the careers of Jon Huertas, Tamala Jones, Jonah Hill, Hailee Steinfeld and Eddie Cibrian, says Julie Smith of the Smith & Hervey/Grimes Talent Agency.

Smith said Hervey died Saturday morning, peacefully and surrounded by loved ones. Hervey is survived by her husband Alan, her sons Jason and Scott, brother Howard Bernstein and four grandchildren.

Castle actor and former agency client Jon Huertas once told Backstage that Hervey/Grimes “was the best talent agency I could have started with….they really got me into the right rooms.”

Services will be held at Los Angeles’ Hillside Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 20 at 11:00 am. The family says that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome at the National Council of Jewish Women in Los Angeles.
