“Married at First Sight”: Clare Slams Cameron for Making Her Feel Like 'a Piece of S---' in Relationship (Exclusive)

In PEOPLE's exclusive sneak peek at the season 17 reunion, Clare and Cameron's issues continue to boil over

Married at First Sight's Cameron and Clare still cannot see eye to eye.

In PEOPLE's exclusive look at the couple's reunion conversation from the upcoming April 10 episode, host Kevin Frazier starts things off by asking Cameron why he "told the guys" he was "attracted" to Clare, but didn't actually tell his wife.

"I did," Cameron replies, while Clare shakes her head in disagreement. When Kevin asks when Cameron made his feelings known, he replies, "Day one. I mean, every day. And then, you know, anytime I gave a direct compliment, it was 'Do not give me compliments.'"

Clare hits back by saying that the "compliments" Cameron was paying her were comments like, "I like your ass."

"But you didn't say thank you, first of all," Cameron insists, as Clare points out, "That's all you ever said. Which is fine, but it’s like, okay, I mean any random dude on the street could say that to me. I’m sorry."

At the same time, Clare says, "Like, you’re my husband," and Cameron replies, "Okay, but I'm your husband."

Kevin then encourages Cameron to continue what he was originally trying to say.

"There’s a moment that stands out to me," he says. "I think it’s the fourth day of the honeymoon, and I said to you, ‘I think I’m falling for you.’ And you said, ‘Don’t say that.’"

Clare immediately disagrees. "That's not what happened," she claims, adding that she wants to "let go" but "can't" when she hears Cameron share stories like that.

Kevin then steps in, noting that the couple is "getting nowhere" with the current conversation, and shifts the focus again to ask if Clare visited when Cameron was sick, prompting even more arugments.

"Yes, I tried several times," Clare says, while Cameron hits back: "No. Never. She canceled every time. Every time we organized, you canceled."

"Look through our texts," Clare insists. "You said, ‘Your energy stresses me out. I don’t need it right now.’"

However, according to Cameron, that statement came after she "canceled multiple times."

"I tried to call you five different times. Zero response. You wanted nothing to do with me," Clare asserts, as she begins getting clearly fed up with the conversation. "So stop making me feel like I’m a piece of s---."

Prior to the reunion episode, the last time fans saw Clare and Cameron, they'd decided to go their separate ways and leave their marriage behind.

The decision came after a sit-down with relationship experts Pastor Cal Roberson, Dr. Pia Holec and Dr. Pepper Schwartz on Decision Day. During the conversation, Cameron admitted, "I f---ed up the process."

"Like I – through maybe wanting to take control, through ... trying to defend myself against what I thought was an impending rejection," he told Clare. "I can't tell you the exact reason, I obviously felt a reason to do it and I'm sorry for that."

In response, Clare told Cameron, "I appreciate that. It means a lot. I forgive you."

Earlier in the season, Clare and Cameron's intimacy issues had been highlighted.

Clare told her costars Becca, Lauren and Emily that she has "struggled" with physical affection in her past relationships, because the men she has previously dated “haven't been willing to show me off in public or are not willing to hold my hands so I think that I'm used to that.”

She also revealed that they had "not kissed nor cuddled" since getting married.

Cameron, meanwhile, told his male costars he's "really attracted" to his wife, noting his excitement at continuing to build their connection. "I'm very much looking forward to us getting there.”
