Marmonte League picks the best of the best for its 2022-23 winter season

Junior Nasir Meyer of the league champion Agoura High boys basketball team was named the Most Valuable Player of the Marmonte League.

Named to the first team were Elias Chin and Trent MacLean of Thousand Oaks; Zane Miller of Agoura; Kayden Elsokary and Austin Maziasz of Westlake; Cooper Lucas of Newbury Park; and Gavin Murphy of Calabasas.

Named to the second team were Stevie Amar and Isayah Garcia of Oaks Christian; Zach Ourfalian and Ignacio Spayne of Agoura; Charlie Muir of Newbury Park; Jacob Kjarval of Thousand Oaks; and Peter Gray of Calabasas.

Conley Oliver of Agoura was named the Coach of the Year.

Lola Donez of league champion Oaks Christian and Westlake freshman Mathis Dritz were named the co-Most Valuable Players of the Marmonte League.

Named to the first team were Omamoke Okah and Faith O’Daniel of Oaks Christian; Jamilyn Carton and Helena Koubek of Agoura; Taylor Swanson of Oaks Christian; and Maddy Tauro of Calabasas.

BOYS SOCCER

Senior Justin Sosa of league champion Agoura was named the Most Valuable Player, Westlake senior Jaden Nachimzon was named the Offensive MVP, and Newbury Park senior Dylan Roslauski was named the Defensive MVP of the Marmonte League.

Matalene Winters of league champion Oaks Christian earned Most Valuable Player honors and Colette O'Connor was named the Goalkeeper of the Year in the Marmonte League.

Named to the first team were Mia Fabros, Nicole O'Neill and Kendall Pappan of Oaks Christian; Cate Daland and Abigail Kim of Agoura; Kennedi Reeder of Newbury Park; and Sydney Miller of Westlake.

Named to the second team were Taylor Credle and Abigail Shapiro of Calabasas; Adriana Flores and Josie Shiah of Newbury Park; Natalie Requena-Broderic and Kloe Tarbet of Agoura; Jessie Lund of Oaks Christian; and Ruby Watkins of Westlake.

Earning first-team honors by winning league titles were Jackson Riggio, William Ramos, Tanner Cardenas, James Rocha and Robert Svitek of league champion Thousand Oaks; Noah Ingersoll, James Abaya and Carson Berry of Newbury Park; Aiden Vazquez, Lennon Martin and Dean Abedi of Westlake; Sean Gross and Georgii Guledani of Calabasas; and Zeke Bussiere of Agoura.
