Marlon Wayans is not happy with his current paternity lawsuit or Brittany Moreland, the woman who is bringing it against him. The comedian went off on his “entitled” baby mother in a recent conversation with The Shade Room.

“It’s the classic case of a good, loving, responsible father shelling out over $18k per month for a one-year-old, and an entitled woman decides she wants more,” he said in the exclusive interview. The 51-year-old compared the situation to women who are receiving much less, specifically in his own family, saying, “My mama and dem would’ve lost their minds for $2k.”

He felt especially slighted by the situation because of how active he was in his one-year-old daughter’s life compared to other fathers who do far less. “All these women having to drag men to court who pay nothing towards their children. And here, a woman gets a doctor’s salary and says it isn’t enough?” he said. The Scary Movie actor reminded TSR that he had two children before this but never encountered these issues.

“I’m a good man with a good heart and strong sense of responsibility, but I refuse to be used and discredited,” Marlon Wayans asserted. Many people were caught off guard by the fact Wayans had a daughter at all, and he explained how he operates in this current social media climate.

“All love, all God. The baby isn’t a secret,” he said. “The mama has been posted. But I chose to keep the baby’s private life private. Ain’t nobody’s business. Social media is toxic and dangerous, and I’d like to keep her peace.”

The Shade Room asked Wayans if he ever tried to lower the amount of child support that he paid. “No, I have not,” he answered. “I probably could and should, but goes to show no good deed goes unpunished.”

They also mentioned how Brittany Moreland suggested that he be awarded visitation rights and asked if he plans to fight for joint custody. “Do you pay all that money per month and be called a ‘visitor’?” Marlon Wayans asked. “Do the math. This is delusional. I will let the lawyers and God do what they do. I’ll be creating art from a broken heart. I got nothing but love. Even when it’s bad, it’s good.”

The actor has been vocal all of 2024. In January, he addressed the conversation of Black men wearing dresses in movies.

“You talking to a Black man that put on a dress,” he said during an interview on Real 92.3. “That conversation to me, it’s silly. It’s a negative thing that is only in Black people. We have for some reason been programmed to look down on the craziest parts about our spirits. We’re supposed to embrace our past, our history, our heroes, different levels of comedy.”
