Mark Wahlberg is coming back to the metro at Hy-Vee's Wall to Wall Wine & Spirits on Halloween.

The Hollywood actor will sign bottles of his Flecha Azul Tequila during a public appearance at the supermarket's standalone liquor store, 375 S. Jordan Creek Pkwy., in West Des Moines. He will appear there from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

The "Lone Survivor" star has long been a promotional partner of the Iowa-based chain of grocery stores. In March 2022, the actor even sheltered in place at the company's headquarters during a tornado warning.

Wahlberg's relationship with the company began in the 2010s when Hy-Vee partnered with the A-lister and his brothers, performer Donnie and chef Paul, to open Wahlburgers burger shops. More than 5,000 people attended the grand opening of the location near Costco in West Des Moines, which has now permanently closed, in 2018.

Wahlburgers restaurants have remained open at a number of Hy-Vee locations.

Hollywood A-lister Wahlberg follows Momoa, Letterman to Hy-Vee

Wahlberg's brother Donnie was in Iowa during a "New Kids on the Block" performance at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand in August, which was attended by 9,481 fairgoer fans.

In recent months, Hollywood A-listers haven't been able to stay away from the metro area Hy-Vee stores.

In July, late night talk show legend David Letterman worked a shift at the Grimes Hy-Vee, 351 NE Gateway Dr., surprising suburban shoppers and bagging groceries. On Oct. 16, "Aquaman" and Norwalk High School alum Jason Momoa signed bottles of his newly released Meili Vodka at the store's location in Urbandale at 8701 Douglas Ave.
