Mark Wahlberg will star in Paramount’s “Instant Family,” an indvidual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

The movie follows a couple who decide to adopt children currently in foster care, but end up with three kids who can’t be controlled. Paramount plans to start shooting next year.

The Wahlberg and Will Ferrell-starrer “Daddy’s Home” was a massive hit for Paramount during the 2015 holiday season, grossing $150 million domestically and $92 million overseas. A sequel to the film, “Daddy’s Home 2,” is set to hit theaters Nov. 10.

Paramount could also use a bankable hit after a rough couple years in which would-be family friendly blockbusters like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” and “Monster Trucks” flopped.

Wahlberg is represented by WME, who packaged the comedy. Anders is represented by UTA.
