Mark Wahlberg’s wife Rhea Durham is no longer part of the New England Patriots fandom, he says.

Wahlberg, 52, appeared on Friday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show and spoke about his experience at the 2024 Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which saw the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22.

The lifelong Bostonian then revealed that Durham, 45, had abandoned the New England Patriots to support the Chiefs.

“I was there for almost till the first half and then I was home within 15 minutes cause there’s no traffic in Vegas,” Wahlberg recalled. “Drove home, watched Usher, watched the second half with my wife, who has now become a Chiefs fan. She turned on our Patriots.”

“She still loves the Patriots,” the Ted star added of Durham, 45. “But she definitely likes Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs which I completely understand, I just don’t like them because they’re really creeping up on the Patriots really quickly when it comes to being the best.”

With Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Chiefs securing their third Super Bowl win in five years last month, many are now calling them a dynasty akin to the Patriots, who won six Lombardi trophies between 2002 and 2019 behind Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

Wahlberg and Durham tied the knot in 2009 and have welcomed four children together.

The pair are the proud parents of daughter Ella, 20, son Michael, 17, son Brendan, 15 and daughter Grace, 14.

The family recently moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, which Wahlberg discussed on The Talk in October 2022.

"To be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams — whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer — this made a lot more sense for us," Wahlberg said during a virtual appearance on the talk show.

He went on to say that he and his wife "came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there's lots of opportunity here."
