Mark Hamill to Guest Star on ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ Season 2

How would FX follow up its impressive list of guest stars for the first season of “What We Do in the Shadows”? By landing none other than Luke Skywalker.

During the Television Critics Association press tour on Thursday, creator Jemaine Clement revealed that Mark Hamill would appear on the second season. “We have someone really good… One particularly huge one,” he said, before whispering: “Mark Hamill.”

But that’s all Clement would say. When he was asked a follow up as to what kind of character Hamill would be playing, he shook his head and said “no more.” But we know Hamill will be free, as he (presumably) played Skywalker for the final time in Disney’s “Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker.”

Season 1 guest stars included Nick Kroll, Kristen Schaal, Dave Bautista, Evan Rachel Wood, Danny Trejo, Wesley Snipes, Paul Rubens and Tilda Swinton. Clement, Taika Waititi and Jonathan Brugh also appeared as their characters from the Waititi-directed film the show is based on.

“What We Do in the Shadows” returns with the premiere of its 10-episode second season on Wednesday, April 15th at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX and the next day on FX on Hulu. The premiere will include the first two episodes, followed by a new episode each subsequent week.
