We know everybody is gearing up for next weekend's 5th Annual Tallahassee Beer Festival at the Civic Center, but did you know ...

Almost exactly one month later there's going to be another big celebration - all centered around local craft beer???

It's true!

The Tallahassee Beer Society is turning 6 years old this year - and it's time to throw a big party. So on Sept. 30 from 5-9 p.m at The Hub at Feather Oaks, we're treating it like a pickup basketball game at Rucker Park:

"LET'S RUN IT BACK!"

Because last year's 5-year anniversary party - at what was then "The Space At Feather Oaks" - was so much fun, we've decided to make it an annual thing.

In 2022, we featured amazing beer from all the breweries that we cover - 15 in all. All of them donated at least one keg so that everybody was represented, such super important to us for those party

We had an incredible food truck lineup with Tally Mac Shack, RyRys BBQ, 88 Crepes, OysterMom, BK's Snow come Factory and TC's Bakery, along with donated food from Red Shed BBQ and Rankin Tacos.

The live music from Ben Flournoy was awesome - and Ben's popularity has only soared since then!

And we donated a nice chunk of change to our good friends at the Leon County Humane Society thanks to your loyal support of the 2022 TLH Beer Society Membership Card.

And we're pretty much going to stick to the script for the 6-year party as well!

On Sept. 30, we are headed BACK to Feather Oaks - only now it's been transformed into The Hub at Feather Oaks - and we are going to replicate everything we did last year.

And then some!

The party plan

Here's what to expect on Sept. 30th (which is an OFF weekend for FSU Football, btw!):

  • Over 25+ different beers from the 19 breweries we cover - an ALL-LOCAL LINEUP ONCE AGAIN (check the logos on the graphic on our Facebook page to see how many we're up to now!)

  • Live Music from local Tallahassee band Shift 8

  • 5 food trucks - The Wingman, Rich Rob’s Philly Stop, Mr. V's Finest Hot Dogs, and BK’s SnowKone Factory

  • Raw and grilled farm-raised oysters from OysterMom

  • Adoption station from the Leon County Humane Society

  • Yard games (Cornhole, ladder toss, drunken frisbee, Connect 4 and giant Jenga)

  • TLHBS 6-Year Anniversary Commemorative Cup - yes, this time EVERY person will get an anniversary glass

  • 2023 TLHBS Membership Card Donation to LCHS

And that brings us to the last item ...

The ONLY change from last year to this year is - this time - you'll need a ticket. And here's why.

Last year, The Hub graciously opened their doors to us and were incredible hosts when we told them "Hey, we wanna throw a free party, with free beer and free entry. Cool? Cool."

Well, things went well - thankfully - but the party almost got TOO big.

This year - in an effort to have a much better idea of how many people are coming - you WILL need a ticket.

But the good news is this: For unlimited beer sampling from nearly 20 local different breweries - for 4 hours - that ticket is only $20, and it includes a commemorative cup AND a portion of the proceeds from the entry fee will ALSO benefit the LCHS.

Which means not only will they get a great donation from us for the 2023 TLHBS Membership Card sales during the party, they're also going to get a little something extra this year thanks to your ticket purchase TO the party.

We are so excited to make this party an annual thing and we appreciate The Hub for once again allowing us to have it there. For those who haven't been, it is an incredibly unique indoor-outdoor venue - with plenty of covered space just in case it rains. So yes the event will happen, rain or shine!

P.S. - For all of our college football fans, don't fret that the party is on a Saturday right? During prime viewing time for that weekend's games - we WILL have games on ALL The Hub's 7 big screen TVs.
