Mariska Hargitay and Dick Wolf's relationship is expanding once again.
The actress, who stars and exec produces Wolf's long-running drama Law & Order: SVU, is set to appear on his upcoming USA Network docuseries Inside the FBI: New York, and The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive first look.
Premiering April 27, Inside the FBI: New York centers on the government agency's New York field office. Made in conjunction with the FBI, each episode will follow a division within the New York office including Counter Terrorism, Gang Units, Cyber Crimes and Human Trafficking - a subject SVU has tackled several times before.
In the trailer, which premieres Thursday during the season two finale of Colony, Hargitay stops by to meet the agents in person. The promo even gives a nod to the Law & Order franchise, saying "these stories aren't ripped from the headlines. They are the actual stories making headlines."
Counting Inside the FBI, the Emmy winner has now appeared on six of Wolf's shows, including episodes of Law & Order, Law & Order: Trial by Jury and more recently, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. She has starred on SVU for 18 seasons and counting.
The project comes after the FBI, and Director James Comey in particular, has faced heavy scrutiny over its investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails during her presidential campaign.
Wolf exec produces the series with filmmaker Marc Levin, Marc Benjamin and Tom Thayer. Wolf Reality produces in association with Brick City TV.
