Marilyn Manson Fined and Sentenced to Community Service After Pleading No Contest to Blowing Nose on Videographer

Manson was charged two misdemeanor counts of simple assault after allegedly spitting and blowing his nose at a videographer during a 2019 concert
After pleading no contest to blowing his nose on a videographer during a New Hampshire concert in 2019, the Associated Press reported that Marilyn Manson was fined and sentenced to community service on Monday.
The 54-year-old musician, whose real name is Brian Warner, appeared in a Laconia, NH courtroom on Monday and pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor counts of simple assault, which he was charged with in relation to the incident at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford on Aug. 19, 2019.
Manson's lawyer Howard King confirmed the accuracy of the Associated Press story to PEOPLE but declined further comment.
During the performance, AP reported based on a police affidavit, Manson walked over to videographer Susan Fountain and allegedly spit a "big lougee" at her before blowing his nose in her direction later in the show. Video footage reportedly showed Manson pointing and laughing at her as she walked away.
Three concert attendees — including a security guard — previously told PEOPLE at the time that they saw Manson spit and "shoot his snot" at the camerawoman.
Fountain pressed charges against Manson in 2021, one of which — related to the spitting — was dismissed as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Manson was fined over $1,400, with $200 suspended as part of the deal, and sentenced to 20 hours of community service, per AP. For the next two years, he also must steer clear of arrests and inform local police if he performs in New Hampshire.

Despite not appearing in court, Fountain submitted a statement about the incident that was read aloud. "For me, I’m a professional person and I’ve been in this industry for 30 years," she wrote. "I’ve worked for a lot of companies, and in all the years I’ve worked with people, I’ve never been humiliated or treated the way I was by this defendant."
"For him to spit on me and blow his nose on me was the most disgusting thing a human being has ever done," continued Fountain. "I understand this was not a big criminal charge to begin with, but I was hoping that the defendant would receive a sentence that would make him think twice before doing something like this again."
This case is unrelated to his ongoing defamation case with ex Evan Rachel Wood and girlfriend Illma Gore, which he filed in March 2022, alleging that the pair conspired to coerce other women into making allegations against him. He also accused them of impersonating FBI agents to further coerce the women by making them believe their families were in danger.
Wood is among at least 15 other women who have accused the rocker of sexual assault. Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco also filed a lawsuit in 2021, though it was settled in January.
