The singer and actress is set to appear on the Oct. 27 episode of CBS's long-running soap, 'The Bold and the Beautiful'

PEOPLE can exclusively confirm that the singer and actress, 63, will make her soap opera debut on The Bold and the Beautiful on the Oct. 27 episode of the CBS series’ five-part event, beginning Oct. 25.
Osmond will play the wealthy Countess Von Frankfurt, who will bring “excitement in the air” when she travels to Los Angeles to see the new collections that fashion house Forrester Creations owners Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and his father Eric Forrester (John McCook) have in store, during what the CBS describes as a “highly-anticipated fashion showdown.”

Also appearing on the long-running show for the first time is Young and The Restless star Kate Linder as Esther Valentine, whose dream has always been “to own a Forrest Creations Original,” according to a logline from the network.
Esther will be the guest of her Y&R costar Tracey Bregman’s Lauren Fenmore, a department store owner and buyer who “arrives in Los Angeles from Genoa City having received two ‘golden tickets’ to the exclusive fashion show where Ridge and Eric each premiere their own couture designs,” the logline states.

Adam Gregory, who played Thomas Forrester from 2010 to 2014, confirmed her appearance to Entertainment Tonight at the 2011 Daytime Emmy Awards in Las Vegas.
The former Donny & Marie host added: “That's right, you only have One Life to Live and All My Children asked me to do a soap, so I'm doing The Bold and the Beautiful, 'cause I'm bold, and he's beautiful."

Although she couldn’t spill the details about her role, she revealed to HitFix that she would be “mixing it up a little.”
“He married my best friend’s daughter, so we’re like family,” Osmond said of her character filming scenes with Gregory, 35.
Of her decision to join the series, she explained at the time, “You’ve got to have a little fun. At least that’s what my brother Donny says.”
