Mariah Carey's famous friends celebrate 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' with singalong video

“I rebuke time,” Mariah Carey, immortal queen of Christmas, told EW earlier this month. “In that way, Santa and myself are very similar.”

Now it’s her turn to be the one receiving a gift: In celebration of the 25th anniversary of her timeless holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” from her 1994 holiday album Merry Christmas, dozens of Carey’s famous pals have taken part in a mash-up singalong video, lip-synching the words to the irresistible tune just like so many of us have spent countless hours doing, around this time of year, in front of our bathroom mirrors (… right?).

Katy Perry, Kerry Washington, Ryan Reynolds, Normani, Ruby Rose, Snoop Dogg, Kim Kardashianand Kris Jenner, Laverne Cox, Cyndi Lauper, Misty Copeland, Trevor Noah, Tyler Perry, Olivia Newton-John, Jamie Foxx, Billy Eichner, Ali Wong, and many more took part in the festive video, which includes glimpses of Chance the Rapper building a gingerbread house, John Travolta playing with a toy airplane, Carey’s 8-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, having a dance party, and — gasp! — a fiery-filtered Ariana Grande belting along.

“WOW! This is one of the best Christmas gifts I could have ever gotten,” Carey tweeted with a link to the video. “I am so thankful to all of my friends and favorite artists who participated in this video. You brought a huge smile to my face. THANK YOU!”

This isn’t the only new video the beloved track has gotten this year: Last week, Mimi released a brand-new music video for the song, the “Make My Wish Come True Edition,” also featuring Moroccan and Monroe. And if that weren’t enough, the elusive chanteuse got another extra-special Christmas gift this year in the form of the song hitting No. 1on the Billboard Hot 100 for the very first time in its 25-year history — marking the 19th of Carey’s singles to claim that honor, making her the solo artist with the most No. 1s in the chart’s history.

In celebration of Merry Christmas’ big quarter-century anniversary, Carey dropped a deluxe edition of the album last month. As she told EW, though, 25 years ago, she was reluctant to record a holiday album at all at all: “As much as I love Christmas, I thought that the record company was off,” she admitted. “Obviously, I couldn’t have been more wrong.”
