Mariah Carey is fully in her element because it’s the Christmas season, but things might not be as rosy behind the scenes. There’s a new report that the 54-year-old singer is a little too free with her money these days and pals are concerned that she will burn right through her sizable fortune.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Carey’s wealth is somewhere around $350 million — an astronomical sum! A source told the National Enquirer, via RadarOnline, that the Queen of Christmas is spending upwards of a whopping one million dollars per month and she barely knows what she’s buying. “Mariah used to be more cautious with her money,” the insider shared. “She was always extravagant but there were at least some limits, but not anymore. Now it seems like she just lives her life to spend money.”
The source noted that she likes to splurge on champagne (no surprise there) and “obscenely expensive” fashion. They added, “No price tag is too high — and the more expensive and exotic something is, the more she likes it.” Carey is also generous with those around her and “loves to spoil everyone in her life at Christmas and orders gifts all year long to stockpile.” It’s gotten so crazy that the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer ” has multiple rooms full of gifts.”
Friends are just worried that her “extreme” spending is getting out of hand because “it’s nothing for her to drop $100,000 at the plastic surgeon” or allegedly pay “someone to fan her while she gets her makeup done.” It’s going to be a good Christmas for her 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe and her staff, but it’s OK to cut back just a little in a tough economy — even for multi-millionaires!
